Unacceptable Practices

The following practices in science are considered unacceptable and will result in sanctions:

Plagiarism and Self-plagiarism, is a serious misconduct and will not be accepted. Any submitted manuscript is revised with Similarity Check an online tool to help plagiarism detection. Plagiarized manuscripts will not be submitted to the peer review process. If it is proven that a published article was plagiarized, in that case, it will be retracted and the editor will publish a retraction note.

Fabrication and Falsification: Any suspected fabrication or falsification of data, including the manipulation of images, graphs, or any other data, will be investigated and if found guilty, the manuscript will be rejected if it were in the review process and retracted if it were published. In this last case, the editor  publishes a retraction note. The author will be banned from submitting future manuscripts to any of the university's journals.

Conflict of Interest: Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the integrity of the manuscript or the review process. Failure to disclose conflicts of interest may result in rejection of the manuscript, dismissal from the editorial board or reviewer.

Editors and reviewers  must  recuse themselves from the review process if they have any potential conflict of interest with a submitted manuscript, for example, if they have a potential conflict of interest with the author or the research being reviewed.

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest in their publications, including financial relationships or affiliations that may influence the interpretation or presentation of their research.

If there is any undeclared conflict of interest during the evaluation process, the author(s) will be contacted for clarification. If the explanation is not satisfactory, the manuscript will be removed from the evaluation, editing, and editorial planning process.

In the event of a potential conflict of interest on the part of the reviewers, they will be contacted for clarification. If there is conflict of interest, they will not be able to continue with the evaluation process and will not be elegible as reviewers in future peer review processes.

In the event that a conflict of interest is demonstrated in an article already published, it  will be retracted from the journal and an explanation of this decision will be included as a retraction note.
